The sun was so insanely gorgeous yesterday that I put work and chores aside, packed a basket full of Everett’s favorite trucks ,and headed to Boulevard Park. I’d seen little glimpses of the new and improved beachfront from friends’ Instagram accounts and I’m happy to report that it was awesome.

Once you find a parking spot (good luck!), there is soft, clean sand for your little ones to play in and “new,” easy-to-maneuver rocks that lead down to the beach.

We spent the entire morning soaking up the sun, throwing rocks in the water and burying trucks in the sand. I think I even read an entire chapter of my book!

Go. As soon as you can. Parking aside, it’s very, very worth it.
