Mom style: Short rain boots

Are you ready to hate me? Here it goes.

I’m over my big, tall rain boots.

Over them.

We went to the pumpkin patch a couple of weekends ago and they were just too tall. Too heavy. Too much. I was crying (inside, mind you) for a shorter pair to simply keep the bottoms of my jeans out of the mud and my feet dry.

I’m not over them on other people. I think they look super cute on you. REALLY cute. But, for me, I’m ready to move on.

Here are some of my favorites that I have my eye on… Tell me what you think. I can take it. I promise.

Totally agree! Love the look on other people but too bulky and heavy for me. I have a pair of #5 and love them. Perfect fit height-wise and width for shoving jeans inside. They’re also not clunky and easy to walk in, the sole is a lot more like a tennis shoe than a rain boot. I looked at a lot last year before deciding on those, and in my opinion/experience, 1, 2, 4, 7 and 8 are just a bit too short for keeping the bottom cuffs dry. They’re cute but not practical. And those Crocs are super cute.

Also, just wanted to say hi from Seattle–just found your blog while searching to see what’s coming in my next Stitchfix shipment.
